An electric motor is a device used to convert electrical energy into Rotational energy. Most electric motors operate through the interaction between the motor's magnetic field and electric current in the wound wire to generate force in the form of torque applied to the motor shaft. Here at John Brooks, we offer unique solutions that are interchangeable with all leading brands and stocked locally in New Zealand. This includes: B3 – Foot Mounted, B3B5 & B3B14 foot and Flange mounted, Brake Motors complete with hand release.

  • They are available in aluminum, cast Iron and stainless steel. 1 phase and 3 phase voltage. and kilowatt range from 0.09kW to 250kW
  • Our motors are widely used in general machinery and industries such as pumps & water treatment, mining, Food manufacturing, quarry, and paper milling.
  • We stock IP55, IP66 & IP69K protection, class F & class H insulation, rated to 230V and 400V voltages at 50Hz frequency.
  • Standard Operating Conditions include Ambient Temperature: -20°C ~ 40°C
  • Y-connection (Star) for motors of up to 3kW and Δ-connection (Delta) for 4kW and above

  • Type test certification is available on request for all our motors.

Our motors are wound with Spike resistant wire for use with variable speed drives, allowing speed control other than the 50Hz tolerance. The motors are designed to operate at 380 to 415 Volt 50Hz & 440 to 480Volt, 60Hz supply.
